I’m Rob, a freelance game sound designer.
I started in game audio in 2014, which led to my first title with Fat Walrus Games (developer in Japan) called ‘Why is the Princess in the Magic Forest?!’. I've continued to work on my craft and was recently mentored by game audio guru Will Morton (Solid Audioworks, Rockstar). This led to me working on Madden NFL '17. Current projects include an undisclosed EA title, an indie title ‘Battleschool’ with developers Watermint Studios, and a research project examining aural guidance systems in VR.
I graduated college in 2015 with a sound production degree and
I'm currently in my final year studying BSc (Hons) Sound Design at Edinburgh Napier University. Whilst here I’ve worked with students creating audio for mobile/tablet games and developing my skills further with audio middleware and game engines. I recently interned as a research assistant at Edinburgh Napier university, focusing on Foley in animation and VR.
I'm also a member of BAFTA Crew Games and if you're based in the UK you might find me kicking about the Game Audio London drinks or at any IGDA meetups in and around Edinburgh.
